Cultivating Communities The Activus Connect Way

At Activus Connect, our foundation is based on four pillars: Elevating Experiences, Building Brands, Enriching Lives and Cultivating Communities.  These four pillars drive everything we do and the one thing they all have in common is, people. We are a people company driven to consistently enable the best outcomes, using the best tools with the people we serve.

I remember the day we agreed on these pillars and how we committed to ourselves, that Ambassador Experience (AX) would not merely be a tagline, slideware or a marketing hook. We set out to be a new type of outsourcer, an ambassador centric, relentlessly experiences focused. As we developed our Ambassador Experience journey, we realized that as important as it is to us to cultivate communities through our social commitments, this was of equal importance to our team members. This is how we conceived our approach to Community Time.

Here Is Where the Rubber Meets the Road

Each Activus Connect Ambassador and team member earns 8 hours of paid Community Time, per year.  Our goal is really simple, we want everyone in our team to give back, to engage in acts of kindness and help cultivate the communities we collectively serve.  We only have one requirement, literally, take a picture of what they did and of themselves serving/volunteering, so that we can share their story.  You may ask, “Why is it so important to share their stories?”. The answer is simple, to inspire forward!

A Family Tradition of Serving

We can’t just talk about all of this without sharing one of our most recent inspiring stories. On December 8, 2019, along with her family, our Head of Project Management Chris Herron donated her time to Kids Around the World, where they were packing meals for children in Uganda.  Chris was so excited to share this with us and commented, “My family and I have been doing this for 4 years now and it has been a holiday tradition. My son absolutely loves it as he gets to scoop out rice, lentils, protein packs and help seal the bags. There were about 100 of us in the event we helped organize, and we packed 23,000 of these meal bags. It was pretty amazing. Sometime in January, I will get some photos of the kids and their families who actually received these meals that we packed.”

We salute Chris and her family for donating their time and for the impact they will have on the families who receive these meal bags. We are honored to work with team members who strongly believe in Cultivating Communities and Enriching Lives, even before forming part of Activus Connect. Bravo!
