JJ: Habitat For Humanity

AC: Can you please provide an overview of their mission?

JJ: Habitat strives to provided safe and affordable housing for people.

AC: Was this your first time volunteering for this organization or cause? Please elaborate.

JJ: Yes, this was me and my daughters first time volunteering for the program.

AC: Where there any requirements for this type of volunteerism?

JJ: There are no requirements for the program. I called my local habitat and told them we would like to volunteer.

AC: Why did you choose to volunteer here for your Day of Giving?

JJ: We chose Habitat because I love what the program set out to do for families.

AC: Can you tell us about your volunteer experience? What did you do? Did your time volunteering meet your expectations?

JJ: We absolutely loved volunteering because we got to work alongside a bunch of positive people with the same goal of seeing the next homeowners happy faces.

AC: What would you like to share to encourage others to volunteer their time and energy locally?

JJ: There is no better feeling than giving back to your community. If you just so happen to find free time on your hands just give it a try.

AC: Is there anything else that you would like to share about your experience?

JJ: I would like to share that some organizations don’t mind you bringing your kids along to do community work.
