AC: What organization or local cause did you volunteer for?
CS: I volunteered with the AAPI Community.
AC: Can you please provide an overview of their mission?
CS: AAPI serves to foster connection, dialogue, and celebration. Together, we will reclaim or narratives, honor our heritage, and embrace diversity and truly define us.
AC: Was this your first time volunteering for this organization or cause? Please elaborate.
CS: No, I’ve been volunteering with them since I was able to walk.
AC: Where there any requirements for this type of volunteerism?
CS: No requirement, as long as you have the time.
AC: Why did you choose to volunteer here for your Day of Giving?
CS: All proceeds are directed towards community initiatives such as cultural programs and acts of kindness, including the homeless initiative program.
AC: Can you tell us about your volunteer experience? What did you do? Did your time volunteering meet your expectations?
CS: It was an outdoor event at my college campus, I helped set up tents, and tables, as well as tear down after the event.
AC: What would you like to share to encourage others to volunteer their time and energy locally?
CS: Contributing to your local community can empower individuals and create meaningful change.
